Formed in 2007, BioSAFE Engineering LLC. is organized into three divisions: BioSAFE Life Science Solutions, BioSAFE Medical Waste Systems and BioSAFE Advance Engineering Services. Since its inception, BioSAFE has built an impressive library of intellectual property, rights, and patents. Moving forward, BioSAFE is continuing to invest its engineering resources into the commercialization of alkaline hydrolysis processes along with making product improvements in their Chemical and Thermal Effluent Decontamination Systems and Medical Waste treatment product lines.
BioSAFE is proud of the key members of its Engineering, Production, Service, and Installation team who, on average, have over 30 years industrial experience designing, manufacturing, and selling decontamination equipment in the Life Science markets. Our in-house staff currently consists of over 20 talented individuals.
BioSAFE’s Service and Installation Group consists of both our Factory-Direct service technicians and local independent, factory trained, and authorized service groups which allow us to cover all of the US, Canada, Europe and Asia. We provide phone support, guarantee response to calls for service within 2 hours, and guarantee a Service Technician on-site within 24 hours. Our service support is enhanced by BioSAFE’s ability to remotely troubleshoot problems with any system through our modem connection supplied on all our equipment systems.
Mr. Mervis is the Chairman and CEO of BioSafe Engineering and a leader in the field of the treatment and disposal of biological waste.
Daniel leads BioSAFE’s commercial strategy and business development, focusing on scaling advanced waste-management technologies into global markets. He holds BS and MS degrees in engineering from Stanford University, grounding his commercial work in strong technical and analytical depth.
Sam coordinates mechanical design for BioSAFE’s products, with expertise in hazardous equipment and medical waste system design.

All BioSAFE products are produced at our 55,000 square foot manufacturing facility and offices located in Indianapolis, Indiana. This facility not only allows BioSAFE to fabricate all our systems under one roof, but also provides adequate space for isolated Factory Acceptance Testing. Current operating capacity supports parallel fabrication and testing of multiple systems.
